Beschreibung:
Urban transport is often seen as gender neutral – a road or bus system benefits all equally. In fact, it´s not! Women and men have different pre-conditions, needs and restrictions for using transport. When this is not taken into consideration, planning and projects will not adequately meet the demand and transport is inefficient and unsustainable. There is a major component of gender equality in transport in the New Urban Agenda that needs to be implemented.
