Dear Readers,
In this issue we introduce you, among other things, to the Connective Cities learning processes in the African region. In December, municipal actors from the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa came together to share strategies for cooler cities. The meeting was the launch event of the learning process for the MENA region, which will be intensified in the coming months. Another kick-off event is planned in Namibia in April: It is the start of the learning process on flood management for risk-informed urban development for the Sub-Saharan Africa region. Applications are still open until 10 March.
We also report in detail how an international dialogue process and a delegation trip to Germany inspired the team of the Urban Planning Department of Greater Amman in Jordan and will lead to the reorganisation of land use planning procedures there.
We have documented the successes of the municipality of Glezan in Algeria in promoting energy efficiency and solar energy for you in a video. We also inform you about the virtual launch of the exchange of expertise between German and Ukrainian municipalities on reconstruction concepts.
We wish you interesting reading
