Connective Cities
INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT
NEWSLETTER - EDITION NO. 28, September 2019

Dear readers,

Our regional network coordinators now deployed in the regions of Eastern Europe/South Caucasus (based in Tbilisi/ Georgia), North Africa and the Middle East (based in Amman/ Jordan) and Sub-Saharan Africa (based in Nairobi/ Kenya) in the coming weeks will set out to formulate topics for urban practitioners' dialogues and mobilise interested cities and their stakeholders.

Last week, the Connective Cities Team met in Bonn and Cologne to develop the concept for the practitioners' network and to plan measures such as regional introductory workshops. The network meeting planned in Germany in October is intended to provide an opportunity for German municipal experts to network and exchange among themselves and to identify points of contact with the regions.

As part of the envisaged participation in the UCLG World Congress in Durban next November, Connective Cities will support cities in presenting selected good practices to a wider professional audience.

Furthermore, three Connective Cities events are in the process of being organised.

We hope you enjoy reading this issue!
