Connective Cities
INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT
NEWSLETTER - EDITION No. 59, April 2023

Dear readers,

Security and social cohesion are core issues that we address in various facets in this edition and currently in our work.

We look back on a two-day expert exchange on the medium- to long-term emergency housing of evacuated people, on an expert discussion on innovative community gardens to improve food security, and on elaborated innovative project ideas to better protect buildings and public spaces from heat. We will continue to explore the topic of "Heat as a Challenge for Cities" in a new "Deep Dive" format.

Impressive images show how the Dream City Festival in Tunis not only brings together artists from the MENA region and Europe, but also creates a unique melting pot of artworks and visions for the urban future.

We cordially invite German, Ukrainian and international municipalities to the second expert exchange on "Strengthening resilience and rebuilding cities and municipal critical infrastructure in times of war" - this time with a focus on urban mobility.

Get inspired and join us!
