Connective Cities
INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT
NEWSLETTER - EDITION No. 66, November 2023

Dear Readers,

Mitigating global warming and adapting to the consequences of climate change were the focus of a series of our events with various exchange formats for international experts. The multifaceted topics ranged from sustainable construction with bio-based materials, innovative solutions for the use of renewable energies at municipal level to sustainable and climate-resilient reconstruction in Ukraine.

Promoting peer-to-peer advice for civil protection experts is also important to us. In our new Deep Dive format, municipal experts jointly develop solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change-related heat in their cities, whereas in another format, international peers work together to address urban flooding through the approach of Risk Informed Urban Development.

Is your municipality located in the Global South and has a partnership with a German city? Do you still need personnel support for your project work? Then apply for the Experts Fund for Municipal Partnerships via your German partner municipality!

Join in to be inspired by the solutions!
