Connective Cities
INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE FOR SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT
NEWSLETTER - EDITION No. 39, July 2021

Dear readers,

We are happy to report that the Connective Cities learning processes in the regions are continuing and that the project ideas developed in the initial dialogue events are currently further supported through the organisation of targeted expert missions.

The event series “Municipal Response Dialogue to COVID-19” that Connective Cities launched last year has brought together many municipalities around the world to share their learnings and their challenges connected to the pandemic.

After the first successful exchanges this year, the event series on municipal response to COVID-19 is set to continue with global and regional activities. The “Insight Sessions: Post-COVID Urban Futures” will kick-off on 28 July 2021 and we encourage you to join them. Furthermore, we recently published a new set of good practices dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic from cities in Germany, Serbia, Zambia, Kosovo, Brazil and China that we hope can inspire you and your work.

After the recent official kick-off of the regional networks with thematic working groups in Southeast Europe and MENA, the network of urban practitioners in the region Sub-Saharan Africa will launch on 14th July.

We look forward to continuing connecting with you through the upcoming events and we hope you enjoy reading the newsletter. Stay healthy!
