The European Sustainable Cities Conference, held every three years, serves as a multi-level interface between the European Union and sustainability measures at local level. This year, as an online conference, it offers all urban actors a platform for exchange of experience and discussion in order to promote local commitment to sustainability. The aim of the conference is to go beyond the status quo and shape the future by focusing on current trends, challenges and opportunities. Today more than ever, Europe needs solutions to the major environmental, economic and social challenges.
