The development of vulnerability and risk analyses is an important part of local flood management plans and will be the focus of a practitioners’ workshop organized by the International Community of Practice “Connective Cities” from Tuesday, 19th until Thursday, 21st of August 2015 in Curitiba, Brazil. The workshop will stimulate the networking between German and international cities, especially cities from Latin America, and will enable participants to share good practices for developing vulnerability and risk analysis in cities, as well as for developing the capacities of local government officials, in order to ensure the design and implementation of successful local flood management plans.
