Virtual Insight Session with Lessons Learned from the U.S. and Europe

Flood management in cities is crucial for ensuring public safety, protecting critical infrastructure, and minimizing economic losses arising from property damage and business disruption. Effective flood management improves urban resilience, allowing cities to recover quickly from floods and adapt to changing climate conditions.

Time: 19 March 2024, 16:00 - 17:00 (CEST time)

Through various case studies, subject matter experts will share their experiences in employing various innovative Nature Based Solutions in addressing floods in urban areas, while creating a wide range of co-benefits. Our speakers will more specifically focus on the use of Biomimicry, leveraging and drawing inspiration from things in nature, to enhance urban resilience against floods. Subject matter experts will present their lessons learnt in protecting communities across the United State and Europe from flooding.
