Sustainable urban mobility: strategies and pathways towards more efficient, inclusive and environmentally sustainable cities

Connective Cities invites municipal practitioners to the dialogue event to be held in Bremen, Germany

The event is geared towards municipal actors responsible for sustainable urban mobility, its planning and its implementation, including representatives of municipalities, civil society, academia and business. The format of this international dialogue will allow participants to present their experience, showcasing examples of good practices in their municipality and/or identifying concrete challenges and needs.

Connective Cities is organising the event in collaboration with the City of Bremen, a city with one of the lowest congestion rates in Europe and 60% of all trips already undertaken by walking, cycling and public transport. The City of Bremen will share its experiences in the area of sustainable urban mobility, including its Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP), which sets ambitious goals and received the 2015 European SUMP Award for its innovative citizen participation activities.
