Connective Cities and the Municipal Drainage Operation of Cologne (StEB Cologne) invite municipal practitioners to the Dialogue Event on the role of rain and storm water management in water sensitive urban planning to be held in Cologne, Germany from 6th to 8th December 2022. The event is geared towards both German and international municipal actors working on rain and storm water management. The focus will be on the possible adaption measures to climate change to reduce its negative effects on the urban environment. While climate change is a global challenge, the impacts are mainly felt locally. Municipalities experience the impacts of climate change in different ways and general solutions will likely not fit specific realities. Coordinated action and interdisciplinary efforts are needed to ensure that complementary approaches concur to the protection of the population. This international exchange of experiences offers the opportunity to learn from municipal experiences, to discuss one's own practical challenges and to benefit from the broad range of solutions presented by the participants involved.

Connective Cities is organising the event in close collaboration with the Municipal Drainage Operation of Cologne (StEB Cologne).

The deadline to apply for participating in the event is 4 November 2022.
