Current update: We would like to inform you that the upcoming dialogue event had to be cancelled due to the current restrictions to limit the coronavirus outbreak. We are currently checking whether this face-to-face event can be postponed later in the year and if a virtual exchange format could possibly be offered in May/June. Thank you for your understanding.

A dialogue event for the Sub Saharan Africa region expected to be scheduled for the 12th to 14th of May, 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya. Based on the theme on ‘urban basic services and sector governance’, the event whose title is ‘Improving efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of water, sanitation and urban mobility services’, will seek to address the following issues:

  1. Water service provision; approaches and technologies being applied to increase access to safe drinking water without leaving anyone behind.
  2. Sanitation; approaches and technologies applied to increase access to sanitation and management of sewer and faecal sludge in cities.
  3. Urban mobility; management systems and modes used to ensure accessibility whilst reducing congestion, pollution and greenhouse emissions.
