Announcement of event - Climate-proof urban development

Regional dialogue event in Latin America, 3 days between 25 and 29 November 2019 in Niterói, Brazil

With the progression of the new phase of Connective Cities, the learning process in Latin America will also start this year. Based on the needs and framework conditions of the cooperation, the main focus has been set on climate-proof urban development. This presents the possibility of cooperation with several GIZ-projects and municipalities from different countries. The city of Niterói in Brazil is planned to be the host city. 

This dialogue event which is scheduled to take place for three days in the week from 25th to 29st November 2019 will closely tie in with the recently held event in Dortmund. Thematically, the dialogue event will focus on the aspects of risk assessment and cross-sectoral planning of climate-proof urban development, with a focus on climate adaptation.

The working language of the event will be Spanish and Portuguese with translations for the international participants. You will find the call for participants here shortly. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact:
