Call for themes 2020

Connective Cities is looking for new themes for international dialogue events in Germany from 2020.

German municipalities and municipal companies are invited to submit a thematic proposal to host a dialogue event.

The call offers municipal actors from Germany the opportunity to set their own themes for the exchange with cities from developing and emerging countries, to initiate new networks and to position themselves as host cities in an international dialogue process. Connective Cities will be responsible for organizing and financing the event, including meeting costs for participants and traveling expenses for the active German participating municipalities presenting a good practice.

Existing international contacts can be used and Connective Cities supports the mobilisation of a technically relevant and international group of participants.

Themes

Thematic proposals for a dialogue event should fit within the thematic clusters of the Connective Cities project: municipal services, integrated urban development, good urban governance or local economic development. An important criterium in the assessment of submissions is the relevance of the themes for municipal actors in Germany and for cities in developing and emerging countries.

Who can apply?

Municipal administrations and municipal companies in Germany can apply to look for exchange with urban actors from emerging and developing countries, but also from industrialized countries. The inclusion of actors from science, civil society and industry is also very welcome.

The application form can be found (in German) on the<link record:tx_ggnews_news:tx_ggnews_domain_model_news:909> German site. Applications should be submitted by 30.11.2019 to <link mail email>alexander.wagner@engagement-global.de and <link mail email>alice.balbo@staedtetag.de)
