14:00 - 16:30 CET
Cities worldwide are severely affected by the impacts of COVID-19. They are largely responsible for implementing the measures adopted by national governments to contain the virus. The crisis also highlights once again the importance of local resilience, both in terms of local crisis management and disaster preparedness, and for adaptable and sustainable urban development. Many cities, municipalities and rural districts have already developed good solutions and strategies - quickly, innovatively and often with few resources.
Our opening session will provide an overview of the challenges facing cities during the pandemic.
