Climate Resilient Urban Development in Southeast Europe

Connective Cities' virtual planning workshop from 26 October to 5 November 2020

The international cities platform Connective Cities invites municipal practitioners from Southeast European region to participate in the virtual Planning Workshop in SEE region (covering countries fitting under the EU’s regional dimension of Eastern Partnership and Western Balkans: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine).

The upcoming virtual event is a follow-up to the Connective Cities Virtual Dialogue Event dedicated to “Climate Resilient Urban Development in Southeast Europe” taken place on 8-19 June 2020 that supported knowledge exchange and networking by increasing the visibility of good practices from municipalities in SEE region on one hand, and on the other hand by facilitating the needed virtual space and tools to create innovative solutions for local challenges through knowledge exchange and peer-to-peer consultations.

During the event municipal practitioners exchanged best practices and developed their project ideas among peers that can be further implemented in the respective home communities or in the framework of existing or new thematic municipal partnerships.

The upcoming planning workshop aims to further develop these project ideas by revising strategic approaches with the support of leading international experts, urban scientists or development cooperation workers.

The Planning Workshop, due to the global pandemic situation, will take place virtually from 26 October to 5 November 2020 (2 weeks) via using asynchronous and synchronous digital experience, as in the case of Dialogue Event back in June 2020.

We kindly invited potential participants to express their interest in participating in the Planning Workshop with filling and submitting the specific form in case they were willing to continue cooperation with Connective Cities.

The working language of the event will be English with necessary translation provided for international participants.
