Committed to sustainability - local, regional, global

Municipalities and municipal companies for a sustainable society

September 2020 marks the fifth anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. At the same time, the European Sustainable Development Week will take place in the same week (more information here). Local authorities, municipal companies and local networks play an important role in achieving the sustainable development goals. The Association of German Municipal Enterprises (VKU) will show how cooperations can be particularly successful at the local level, what challenges they face and what opportunities they offer, and invites you to attend a digital event entitled "Nachhaltig Engagiert -Local, Regional, Global" on September 24, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Together with our partners, the Städteverband Schleswig-Holstein, the Schleswig-Holsteinische Gemeindetag and the Städte- und Gemeindetag Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, we are looking forward to an exciting event with top-class speakers such as MdBNorbert Barthle, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Holger Matthäus, Senator for Environment and Construction of the Hanseatic and University City of Rostock and Christine Mesek, Head of the Association (Abwasser-Zweckverband Südholstein). The agenda of the event can be downloaded from the registration page (in German).

The participation in the event is free of charge. Language of the events is German.
