Connective Cities Study Tour on Circular Waste Management

Connective Cities Event in North Rhine-Westphalia

The Community of Practice for Sustainable Urban Development Connective Cities offers a study tour on “Circular Waste Management” for delegates from Turkish municipalities in the frame of the “Municipal know-how for host communities in the Middle East Programme” from 22nd to 27th November 2017.

The program comprises key-notes and field visits in North Rhine-Westphalia (22 – 24 November 2017) and Hamburg (27 November 2017) and offers an opportunity to the delegates to discuss various dimensions of solid waste management with experts. The study tour is geared towards practice oriented transfer of knowledge with the aid of German practical examples, support of the development of new project ideas, networking of Turkish and German experts as well as networking.

Following directly afterwards, the Connective Cities Dialogue Event about ‘Climate protection through circular waste management’ in Hamburg will take place (27 – 29 November 2017) with further German and international experts. Experiences made on the study tour will be fed into the subsequent workshop and newly developed ideas will be concretised in the discussions.
