The transition to renewable energy presents significant opportunities for economic development, particularly through green hydrogen. Africa’s vast solar and wind resources create ideal conditions for hydrogen production, enabling cities to strengthen local industries, foster innovation, create jobs, and contribute to global climate goals.

The Green Hydrogen Exchange Working Group provides a platform for cities, industry leaders, and experts to exchange knowledge and explore the role of green hydrogen in large-scale economic transformation. This workshop in Naivasha is part of the ongoing Connective Cities peer learning process, focusing on innovative approaches to energy-driven economic development.
