Some of the main urban accidents in traffic concentrate in main roads and roads passing urban areas. To enhance traffic safety according to the goals of the Federal government, an adequate traffic infrastructure, partciuarly regarding the road network, is required.

In the focus of the event series is the traffic safety of pedestrians and cyclists who are particularly vulnerable to traffic accodents. Experts from municipal adminsitrations, planning offices and other organizations are to be supported in establishing safe traffic and habitation conditions and developing road infrastructure accordingly.

In presentations and working groups, participants will learn about the main basics on traffic safe planning of urban main roads and on safety oriented design of infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.

The seminars will be held in German language.
