Already in June, the cities of São Leopoldo (Brazil) and Augsburg (Germany) entered into dialogue. As a result of the Connective Cities international exchange event held in July on the topic of "Democracy of the City. Open Society and Normativity in Urban Development", in cooperation with the city of Mannheim, the city of São Leopoldo and the city of Augsburg took the opportunity to enter into further dialogue. On this occasion, a six-member high-level delegation from the city of São Leopoldo will visit the city of Augsburg from 1 to 4 October 2023 for an exchange on sustainable development issues.

The agenda will then also include the event "Diedorf meets Brazil" as part of "200 Years of German Immigration in Brazil" and the "16th Diedorfer Cultural Days 2023". The event will take place on 02 October 2023 on the topics of culture and nature, the role of women in society and women's justice and water. The event is supported by "Frauen für Frieden e.V. Augsburg" (Women for Peace Augsburg) and Markt Diedorf.
