It is with deep concern that we observe the latest developments and we are worried about the massive consequences of Russia's attack on Ukraine. The war threatens people's lives, destroys their livelihoods and causes terrible suffering. Development achievements will be seriously harmed. Our solidarity is with the Ukrainian people

There are more than 70 partnership relations between German and Ukrainian cities and municipalities as well as between municipal public service companies.
In the last three years, Connective Cities has cultivated a close collegial exchange with committed colleagues from Brovary, Charkiv, Chortiv, Lviv, Oleksandriia, Novograd, Zhytomyr and other municipalities in Ukraine. Through all these relationships, we have come to appreciate our colleagues very much, both humanly and professionally. The German partners are now working intensively on delivering aid transports to Ukraine to send a visible sign of solidarity.
