Connective Cities is organizing a working group on "Exploring the Potential of Green Transition for Local Economic Development" in Africa. The learning process will be kicked off at our upcoming conference on “African Tech Hubs: Exploring the potential of Green Hydrogen and other innovative sources of energy for technology-oriented cities in Africa.”, taking place from 11.-13. November in Marrakech, Morocco.

Africa's abundant renewable resources, such as solar and wind energy, present vast opportunities for green hydrogen production and distribution. Cities can leverage these resources to feed and develop their own industries, develop further innovative local clusters and a local hydrogen economy, create jobs, and drive economic growth while contributing to global climate goals. The kick-off event in Marrakech aims to explore the transformative potential of green hydrogen and other sources of green energy for the growth of innovative tech clusters in African cities.
