At the upcoming workshop, participants from Lviv (Ukraine), Lüdenscheid and Heidelberg (Germany), Nairobi and Mombasa (Kenya), and Aswan (Egypt) will present the results of implementing their pilots in their respective cities. The action plan for piloting the solutions was developed during the previous workshop in Heidelberg, which was followed by two virtual check-in meetings with the group members in September and December 2024. In Aswan, participants will present the outcomes and analyze the results based on the evaluation of the collected data from the pilots to understand what worked well and what needs improvement. This analysis will be incorporated into an optimization plan via a moderated process to transition from the piloting phase to optimization. This transition involves systematic steps to ensure the scalability and efficiency of the envisaged process, product, or service.
Another highlight of the workshop is the opportunity to learn about the pilot and the challenges of urban heat in Aswan. Participants will gain insights into the approaches adopted to mitigate heat risks. These insights are key in promoting peer advisory between the participants as they provide practical examples and inspiration that can help in the further development of their own piloted solutions.
