A delegation from the city of Rietberg and Bibeldorf has visited Madaba in Jordan on the 13-14 March 2023. The visit aimed at exploring the opportunities for knowledge exchange and project-based partnership. The visit began with a meeting with the Mayor at Madaba’s city hall during which the representative of Rietberg (Rüdiger Ropinski) delivered a presentation about his city’s sustainability strategy and the process that was followed during its development. The presentation was the point of departure for an exchange on experiences with the counterparts in Madaba who elaborated on the development of the local strategic plan that was launched on the 19^th March 2023. As a conclusion, a few projects that are prioritised in Madaba’s local strategic plan were nominated for the potential project-based partnership between the two cities.  The delegation then visited two important project sites in Madaba:  the agricultural business incubator and the recycling facility. Furthermore, the delegation visited a number of touristic sites in Madaba.
