The event will explore tools and protocols that cities employ to monitor and control the infection chains during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is well-documented that most countries have established instruments to track and contain the spread of the virus. Due to differing socio-cultural, economic, and technological backgrounds in different countries we observe a myriad of monitoring and control systems ranging from fully digital surveillance to more conventional ways (such as interviews and forms).
The event aims to review the efficiency and effectivity of the tracking systems applied in the South Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, discuss existing challenges, and explore how can we enhance or scale-up tracing strategies that
During the event, the participants will discuss the specific cases from Southeast Europe, Caucasus, and Germany, share their insights on the topic, and extend the framework for future cooperation.
