German Council for Sustainable Development

Description:

The Almanac shows concrete projects and initiatives from municipalities, politics and business, where transformation into a more ecological and social society is in full swing. Still, our way of life has far too often had a negative impact on the lives of many people around the world.

But the opposite is true: Germany's national efforts can also provide a positive impetus for sustainable development worldwide. In five thematic sections, the almanac exemplifies the challenges and social power and dynamics of change processes in Germany towards more sustainability. Many people are active and active in all areas of life. The energy supply in Germany is just one example. The future of our cities, how much and what we consume are the subject of many further impulses from the whole of society. The Almanac shows ways and possibilities, challenges and opportunities of sustainable development - in Germany and all over the world.
