Partnerships at local government level play an important role in tackling the challenges resulting from Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Over 70 German local authorities are involved in the German-Ukrainian partnership network. Another 30 local authorities have declared an interest in forming a partnership. We want to look beyond Germany to examine the support offered by Polish, Austrian and French local authorities and to allow them to share and pool their experience. There will be three panel discussions looking at what aid is needed, what is being provided, the refugee situation and the broader European perspective.

Preliminary conference programme [pdf, 200kb].
