COP23: Unlocking partnerships for climate action

The 23rd United Nations Climate Change Conference will be convened in Bonn, Germany under the presidency of the Fiji government

Local and regional governments will once again prove that they are the forefront of climate action.

<link http: www.iclei.org fileadmin user_upload iclei_ws documents cop23 local_and_regional_governments_at_cop23_20170503.pdf _blank external link in new>The agenda of local and regional governments at COP23 will consist of the Climate Summit of Local and Regional Leaders on 12 November, Summit Days on 9-14 November and a Cities & Regional Pavilion for two weeks.

The Leaders' Summit will focus on multilevel governance as part of national climate action plans, holistic approaches to sustainability, engaging communities and business as well as partnerships with cities and regions in Small Islands Developing States, Africa and Climate vulnerable countries.
